The following are some highlights of Denise Sirchie's portfolio:

"Jack", glass mosaic sculpture by Denise Sirchie

"Summer" and "Winter"

The biting cold of a Winter's storm meets the delicate serenade of a Summer's flower. A pair of vintage necklace mannequins were perfect for a lesson in technique and interpretation.

"Rosalie"

A great exercise in concept and balance, Rosalie exemplifies adamento, which is the visual flow and direction within a mosaic produced by the placement of tesserae. A "visual walk about" is expected when viewing, as she is a celebration of womanhood.

"Gazella"
21”H x 14”W x 6”D

This particular gazelle whispers depth and dimension as its base materials "ground" the creature. The graceful symmetry embodies speed and agility.

"Inside Out"
22”H x 14”W x 9”D

Sanctuaries within us find their protection through meditation, prayer, written word: an individual’s knowledge of oneself. Copper bullet heads stand on alert protecting the sensitive and gentle heart as does the militia crowning the head; the mind’s fortress. Heavy, but creamy smooth chards work as armor, yet camouflage, as the copper dusting portrays an illusionary beauty. All to fortify the walls that defend our secrets, fears, hopes, and dreams from vulnerability.
